Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)

SEAC Purpose:
 
SEAC is a committee of parents and district staff whose purpose is to provide support, input, and guidance on all areas of schooling affecting students with special needs. SEAC works proactively in concert with staff to promote a culture of care and inclusion. SEAC provides feedback related to MBUSD's Special Education Top Ten Plan, academics, safety, and social and emotional wellness of Manhattan Beach students with special needs.

Introduction to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs):

We welcome all families with a child who is currently being assessed to join us. We will review the IEP and assessment process, the Initial IEP meeting, and answer any questions.

All meetings take place at 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. or 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
