Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP)

On September 30, 2023, California Senate Bill 553 (Cortese) was signed into law. This law requires that employers establish and implement an effective written Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) by July 1, 2024.

On June 24, 2024, MBUSD's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan was emailed to all employees. To request a copy of the latest WVPP please contact your supervisor, office manager, or the Plan Administrator.  To request a copy of the Violence Incident Log, please contact the Plan Administrator, Carol Gerken, by email at [email protected].

REPORTING WORKPLACE VIOLENCE
If you are exposed to workplace violence please CALL 9-1-1 for emergencies when safe.  Otherwise, contact your supervisor immediately and complete a Violent Incident Report
  • online at https://tinyurl.com/WVPP-VIR (for regular employees with an Informed K12 log in), or
  • using the Violence Incident Report form linked below and included as Attachment A of the WVPP.
An important and ongoing component of the WVPP is gathering input from employees. Working with your authorized representatives, the feedback forms linked below have been developed to gather input from all employees. There are separate links for MBUTA, CSEA, and non-represented employees:
