The Board of Education of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District is requesting bids for the Playground Rubber Surface Replacement at Manhattan Beach Preschool (Bid No. B2025-003). All bids must be submitted on forms furnished by the District to the District Office.

RFP: 2025-2 Master Lease-Leaseback and Preconstruction Services

By way of this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (“District”) seeks proposals from lease-leaseback contractors (“Contractor” or “Firm”) to provide preconstruction services and lease-leaseback construction services for the District’s Bond Measure RLS Projects (“Projects”). The purpose of this RFP is to obtain information that will enable the District to select a lease-leaseback Contractor using the “best value” competitive procurement process under Education Code section 17400 et seq., that can assist the District with both preconstruction services and construction services. The “best value” competitive procurement process is an evaluation process whereby a Firm is selected by the District on the basis of objective criteria for evaluating the qualifications of Firms, with the selected Firm representing the best combination of price and qualifications. Each Contractor responding to this RFP should be prepared and qualified to provide the preconstruction services and lease-leaseback construction services described in this RFP to the District in an expeditious and timely manner and on relatively short notice so as to enable the District to meet critical time deadlines and schedules

RFQ 2025 Architectural Services for Measure RLS Projects

By way of this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”), the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (“District”) seeks proposals from Architecture Firms (“Consultant”) to provide architectural and engineering services for the District’s Measure RLS facilities projects and other potential projects that may be funded from other sources. The purpose of this RFQ is to obtain information that will enable the District to select a Consultant(s) that can assist the District in connection with design and related work associated with the various District Measure RLS projects such as reconstruction, modernization, alterations, new construction projects and/or the development of district-wide standards for design, equipment and maintenance specifications. Each Consultant responding to this RFQ should be prepared and equipped to provide full service to the District in an expeditious and timely manner and on relatively short notice so as to enable the District to meet critical time deadlines and schedules.

QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS
 
The District is prequalifying prime contractors and first tier electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) subcontractors to perform work on District projects.  
 
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
TO BE INCLUDED ON THE DISTRICT'S LIST OF QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS
PER SECTION 22034 OF THE PUBLIC CONTRACT CODE
 
The Manhattan Beach Unified School District (MBUSD) has elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Procedures (CUPCCA). The District is inviting all licensed contractors to submit information for inclusion on the District's list of qualified bidders for the 2023 calendar year.

As of March 1, 2015, all contractors bidding on a public works project must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 https://www.dir.ca.gov/public-works/publicworks.html 
 
In addition to registering with the District, all General Contractors (A and B), Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Contractors need to complete the prequalification application via the link above in order to be eligible to work on projects in excess of $1 million dollars.
